New ipods arrive along with new iTunes
As predicted new ipods have been announced.
The big changes are coloured nanos in up to 8gb sizes and a new tiny shuffle that holds 1gb. Video ipods now have spotlight search (looks a bit clunky to me but I haven't got to play with it yet) and downloadable games including the ever addictive classic Zuma. They are up to 80gb max size now.
Other announcements included new iTunes with automatic cover art downloading and a graphical browse to flick through cover art to choose albums. Also a mac mini based set top box is in the works that will allow you to stream your iTunes bought tv shows and movies to your tv.
Oh yeah thats the other thing, you can now buy full length movies from iTunes. Although at $12.99 for a new movie at 'near DVD quality' and with no extras it doesn't seem like a very good deal to me. Older movies are $9.99 but still not up to DVD quality and no extras. Sounds cheap but you can get dvds that are only a few weeks old for as cheap as £7.99 on the high street and even cheaper online.
